Aboard the Queen Mary 2

Thankfully, my travels from Manila to Dubai went well. I have to tell you, I am quite proud of myself for navigating my way through foreign airports on my own. Lucky for me, English is one of the many languages on signs and spoken directions. Of course, the accents make me concentrate to see if they are, indeed, speaking English or Arabic....  I am also happy that I am able to walk long distances! It was AT LEAST a 30 minute walk from the plane to Immigration and another 10 minute walk to baggage claim. I'm waiting for the pounds to melt away...LOL! 
 
Yesterday I was picked up at the hotel here in Dubai (arrived 1:30 am local time last night....4:30 am body time) and transported to the ship. It was nice to unpack and get settled for the long haul. 

May not be able to post on a daily basis given the trips that will take me exploring this part of the world. However, I will do my best to keep you updated.
