Last night, we talked about how your impulses make you take risks, which may be good things or bad. The part of your brain that handles "reason" helps you examine whether that impulse is right or wrong for you. As you reach middle school, your brain begins to change to handle more complex challenges, and this can sometimes affect how well your reason responds to impulses. Friends, peers, family and the media can have an impact on your decisions when your reasoning is not 100% and sometimes that is not always the best call for you. So, how do you make good calls? Faith -- that small voice inside you that reminds you of God's love for you and those around you. How do you hear that voice, you have to train yourself through prayer and spending time with God. You can make great decisions during this time in your life -- you just need a little faith!
