Edge Nite - Parent Notes

Last week, we studied the creation of the world, and how God thought it important to have one day of rest.  The teens talked about how jammed their lives are, and how they don't feel they get time to shut down and take break.  We talked about ways to do that.  We have to recognize that God made us -and we owe him some time each week to both thank him and to bring our cares and concerns to him, so Mass must be a priority, not an option.  We also talked of how God made us a family, so we talked about ways we could make time our just for our family -- whether that is pizza and a movie or unplugging from our phones and games to watch our favorite team.  God made us a family, and it is time we gave God's plan a place in our own lives.  How can you help give your teen this example -- it will build a lifetime of happiness.
