Friday schedule

This morning we gathered to hear the story of the growth of the Sisters for Christian Community in the Philippines. I am enjoying matching the names of sisters I’ve heard/read about for years with their faces. While most live with the poorest of the poor, there is a joy that is palpable! After a short break we heard from our first sister in India! She is mentoring women who want to learn more about SFCC and, perhaps, join us officially.
 
The planning team asked me to give the homily at today’s Mass. I must say I was surprised (the clergy here are not known as “liberal”) and honored. It is the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul. You can HEAR my homily if you check back here on Sunday, January 27, where it will be posted.
