From Fr. Tim - Important information concerning the resumption of Masses at OLPH!

June 4, 2020Dear Parishioners,
I learned this morning that Anne Arundel County will begin to allow indoor religious services in a limited capacity.
Please know that we will NOT open this weekend, June 6/7 for public Masses since we haven't done all the necessary training for Greeters/Ushers/Sanitizers. Our preparations need to be complete and our plan is to enable our parishioners to make a "reservation" for Mass attendance so no one is turned away at the door if we reach our one third capacity. This one third capacity has been established by the Archdiocese. Our primary concern is the welfare of our parishioners!
We will record the video Mass on Saturday morning, June 6 at 10:30 AM.Adoration and confessions will be offered this coming weekend at both parishes.
WE WILL BE READY TO BEGIN A LIMITED MASS SCHEDULE STARTING ON THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 13/14.
Beginning the weekend of June 13/14:
5:00 PM at Our Lady of Sorrows
10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help
We will be asking parishioners to make a reservation for either one of these Masses. We will be sending out "user friendly " instructions on how to sign up for Mass attendance soon. This method will eliminate the possibility of having to turn someone away from the church if we have reached the capacity limitations set by the Archdiocese. If you do not use a computer, you will still be able to make a reservation. The instructions we are sending out will tell you how to do this.
IF ALL GOES WELL
Beginning the weekend of June 27/28, we will expand the Mass schedule to two Masses at each parish:
Our Lady of Sorrows:

10:30 AM
Our Lady of Perpetual Help:
4:00 PM
10:00 AM

Beginning the weekend of July 18/19, we will expand the the Mass schedule to our usual Mass Schedule:

Father Jude will do the Masses at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Father Tim will do the Masses at Our Lady of Sorrows.
There will be no live music at any Masses and no singing. We return to the celebration of the Eucharist with joy!
Father Gonzalo will do an outdoor Mass for the Hispanic Community at 7:00 PM on Saturday nights, staring June 13.
