Up, Up and Away

January 21, 2019: On a very cold morning I caught the shuttle from the Marriott for a short trip to the Dulles Airport Terminal. I gave myself enough time for check-in in case the lines were long. Most of today (and tomorrow) will be spent on an All Nippon airplane.

The first leg is from Dulles to Tokyo, a journey of 14 hrs. 20 mins. We leave at 10:55 am 1/21 and arrive in Tokyo on 1/22 at 3:15 pm. After a 2 hour layover we leave for Manila at 5:30 pm (local time) and arrive 5 hours later (9:30 pm….another time zone). The Sisters for Christian Community will greet us at the airport and assist us maneuver the ins and outs of Customs, money exchange and travel to the hotel.
